Stuff

How is it that we always seem to have too much stuff? Last month I think it was David and I cleaned out our garage and got rid of quite bit of stuff (well technically we have gotten rid of it yet, we are taking it up with us to a consignment shop in MI) but anyway we have all boxed up ready to go. A month before that we had taken two bags stuffed with stuff to Good Will. But here I am looking around the house and all the STUFF we still have! It's just crazy how you can accumulate so much without even thinking about it. All I can say it that I guess David and I still have our work cut out for us to get rid of more. 

Anyway that was just a thought I had been having and needed to share. So now David, Kaylynn and I are waiting on to hear if David can get his pass to go up to Michigan so we can celebrate Kaylynn's birthday party. I sure hope we can! I can't believe that in one week Kaylynn will a year old. It just amazes me how fast time goes by. Well other than just kind of waiting around to hear what's gonna happen next weekend we haven't really been up to too much stuff. We were very lazy this past weekend, except for Saturday. My Leigh, Kaylynn and myself went to a garage sale that a friend from church was having. She has 3 little girls and a ton of baby stuff!!! I got Kaylynn quite a bit of cute clothes! I got her a snows suit for $5! A cute little ladybug costume for Halloween for $4! And several really cute onsies for a quarter a piece! A few other things too that I can't remember at the moment. So we did that then we went and got lunch for our hubby's cause they were working a 24 hour Duty Officer Shift on post. But that was really all we did this past weekend. I am really forward to this next week though! My birthday is Wednesday!!!! But anyway David and I are going to bed now he's gotta get up early for work in the morning and I got a lot of house work to get done I'll write again soon.

Getting Ready

So things have been going pretty good for us down here. Just enjoying this Summer as a family! This past weekend David had a four day weekend, so on Saturday we went the Nashville Zoo. It was a lot of fun and Kaylynn did so good. I think Kaylynn wasn't too sure about what to do with the animals. She was cute though she didn't smile or do anything but she did look at them just kind of like what do you want me to do. But we will go again when she gets older. I think the trip to the zoo was more for me anyway I was so excited to go! Other than that the weekend was fun, we just ran errands and got some things for Kaylynn's birthday party!!

We got the plates and things and I made Kaylynn a shirt to wear for the party but I ended up messing it up the writing on it is too big. It says 1st Birthday Princess and the "Princess" is too low her pants cover it. So I'm gonna have to go get another shirt but I think I'm gonna do something different this time. I'm also really excited cause I am going to make her a tutu to wear as well. I can't believe that she is going one already!! This year has gone by fast but at the same time it hasn't. I just also can't believe how much as happened this past year with moving here to Tennessee then David being deployed then Kaylynn and I moving again and all the things in between.

Well I'm gonna go for now Kaylynn woke up form her nap so I gotta go get her.

I'm Just Praying

I am. I am just praying for David like every minute of the day. He had his surgery yesterday and he was fine for quite a while. But then one eye started bothering him. We went to bed with him feeling a little better, but not a tone. Then he woke up feeling horrible and he has been in bed all day! I feel so bad for him I really wish there was more I could do. I am just praying that he feels a lot better tomorrow cause he has to go into work. The doctors did say that today was going to be the worst day but I just feel like he having a harder time than he should be. But we will see how he feels in the morning. 

Other than David and the surgery things have been pretty good. We had a nice weekend like I thought we would. I have been working on Kaylynn's invitations to her birthday party!! I am almost done with them and I will probably work on them after I'm done writing this entry. I am so excited about the party I just can't wait to get up to Michigan and see everybody!! It will be a fun time that's for sure!

So baby girl is in bed and so hubby so I am just in the living room having some 'ME' time and it's nice. I'm watching Beauty and the Beast one of my favorite Disney movies!! Ok well I'm gonna go for now and watch my movie and work on those invitations!!

Man I'm All Confused

I keep thinking today is Friday cause David is pretty much off work the rest of the week. Then I had thought it was Thursday but I finally have it down that it's Wednesday. But I think this weekend is going to be pretty fun and crazy too! Tomorrow David, Kaylynn and I are going to a water park for a Platoon get together thing. Then Friday I'm not too sure what we are going to do during the day but Kaylynn does have a Dr. appointment at 4. Then we are going to get a pizza come home and watch the Phineas and Ferb Movie! ;) Yes we are actually pretty excited about it. But as far as I know that is all we have planned for the weekend now but I'm sure we will come up with some fun stuff. We will probably work on some yard work and maybe work on getting the garage cleaned up. Then on Monday at noon David is getting his eye surgery!! AHH I'm freaking out a little bit I mean I know he is going to be ok cause the Lord is with all of us through this. It will be super nice when he is all healed up and he will be able to see without glasses! But if everyone can keep him in your prayers that would be awesome.

I can't believe how hot it has been. I guess today was the hottest day of the year so far. It was very warm in our house even with central air. I'm really ready for some cooler weather, not cold weather just cooler weather. But it's only August I think we have a little while longer. 

Ok well I'm gonna go, I'm getting kinda tired. But I'll write soon.

I Am Not Tired At All

So yeah. I don't know why but for the past week or so I have not been able to fall asleep very easily. It is very frustrating. Especially when Kaylynn wants to be up at 7 and I don't cause I couldn't fall asleep until like 2 in the morning. So tonight David was ready for bed at about 8:30 cause he was out at the range all day and in the sun. And I didn't really do anything, so I came out to the living room to some Mario hoping that it would get me sleepy. But guess what? I'm not and that is why I am writing on here about not being tired at all. I'm thinking tomorrow I will be cause David and I are going to be cleaning out our storage unit. I'm actually kinda excited about that. We will be saving money and we will have all of our stuff here at our own house. We just need to get some shelves up in the garage so we can have everything all organized. But we will get there, I'm not worried about it.
So Kaylynn has been making me sad the past couple of nights. Just because normally when we put her down to bed she goes down right away and hardly ever cries. If she does cry it's when we have left the room and it's for like 2 minutes. But the last few days she starts crying even before we leave her room and when we are walking out she reaches for us. Oh man it just pulls at those heart strings I'll tell you what. And she cries for like 15 minutes, and it's not just a whiny cry it's like full blown screaming cry. It's makes me sad and I'm really praying that this doesn't last long. That it's just phase ya know?
Well that is all I can think of right now. And I think I might even be a little sleepy now. I'll write soon.
   

So...It's Been A While

Yeah as I said it has been a while. David, Kaylynn and I have been pretty busy the past couple of weeks. We have been getting back into the swing of things now that David's parents have left. :( Getting caught up on laundry and all the other housework too. Fun fun!
I'm not really looking forward to tomorrow cause David has a very long day. But it will be worth it cause he has super short day on Friday!! So you can pretty much say 3 day weekend! I'm pretty excited about that. But he is gonna have a very long week next week, so prayer for him would be awesome. 
Kaylynn is doing good, getting so big. She has 4 teeth in already. And she took her first real unassisted step yesterday!! Just one but hey she is getting there, it's so exciting! I can't believe that she is 10 months already and she will be a year old in just a couple short months!
I have been doing pretty good. I started a workout this week, I have been feeling pretty good too. I started on Monday and have been doing it everyday since. I mean I know it's only been three days but usually I do a workout one day and then I won't do it again for a month or two. So I am really trying to stick with it. And I am actually really excited about it. But I believe that is about it for now. I have to go get Kaylynn ready for bed. I will try to be better about writing sooner. ;)

Family, Fireworks, Food, Cards, and Teeth

I don't think I could of asked for a better weekend! It's so fun having David's parents down here we are playing a lot of cards which is something I love to do. And we have been eating a ton of great food which is something else I love to do as well! ;) Last night we went on post and saw the firework display there and it was amazing! I mean that doesn't even give it enough credit. They were the best I have ever seen! I was so happy too cause I wasn't sure how Kaylynn was going to react to them, I thought maybe she was going to cry cause of the noise. But she didn't, I think she just didn't know what to think of them. She kept looking around at everything else and then she really wanted to nurse so I ended up doing that. She was done by the finale and she watched that whole thing and was mesmerized by them. It was cute!
So today all 5 of us were out and about doing things in town and we were at the Hobby Lobby walking around. Kaylynn, Mom and myself were in an isle talking and kinda playing with Kaylynn and she was talking with us when I saw them... her first two teeth had cut in today!!! Oh my gosh I couldn't believe how much I was freaking out about them. But I mean she is almost 10 months and just got her first teeth! It's very exciting to me! She is just getting so big. She has been getting more confidence in standing on her own, before we know it she is going to walking all by her self! Oh man please be praying for David and me! ;)
